How the BeWell Center Onsite Clinic Works

The BeWell Center Onsite Clinic is located off the North Lobby in the Watertown location.

The clinic’s hours of operation are from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

In order to receive services from the BeWell Center Onsite Clinic, you must present the following at time of check-in: 

  • your Tufts Health Plan ID;
  • your medical insurance card; and
  • completed intake form (first visit only) 

You do not need a referral from your Primary Care Physician (PCP) if you are enrolled in a Your Choice Company-sponsored medical plan. 

All other employees who participate in plans that require a PCP referral must obtain this referral from their PCP in order to avoid additional out-of-pocket expense. 

Information concerning your care may be sent to your PCP. The clinic may also contact your PCP directly (or refer you to your PCP) if follow-up care is needed. 

Take Care Health System: Information concerning all services received from the BeWell Center Onsite Clinic will be stored in your Take Care Health System electronic medical record. 

The BeWell Center Onsite Clinic is equipped to provide basic emergency response services only. If required, the clinic may arrange for your transfer to the hospital emergency room for further treatment. 

If you have an unexpected (non-emergency) need for care, the clinic staff will make every effort to schedule your care in a timely manner. 

The BeWell Center Onsite Clinic is not equipped to handle emergencies that occur outside of its normal operating hours. You should call the security team at ext. 11111 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room if you have an emergency that occurs outside of the clinic’s normal operating hours.

All member level information related to services received at the BeWell Center Onsite Clinic is treated in strict compliance with patient privacy laws and regulations. This is explained in the Tufts Health Plan Notice of Privacy Practices which is found inthe Medical Plan section of the Company Intranet. 

An appeal procedure is available for any covered person who has a grievance or complaint concerning the BeWell Center Onsite Clinic, including eligibility or denial of services. This is explained in the Administrative Information section of this Summary Plan Description. 

An appeal concerning denied payment of a claim should be filed with your medical insurance carrier.
